Over the past few decades women empowerment has been achieved on so many levels. As they play a major role in the community as well as shaping individuals, women empowerment ensures that women and girls have control over their lives and are able to contribute actively in social, political and economic fields.
Healthy, educated and empowered women nourish the changes needed to create empowered communities and, consequently, a more sustainable and peaceful future for all.
Empowering women will lead to sustainable development, as they represent half of the society and out of faith in the prestigious role they play in the community, ACI women empowerment strategy is well underway as it’s already allocating 90% of crop manual processing work opportunities and 20% of permanent staff to ladies. More to that there are more representation of women smallholder farmers than men in Africorp’s Sudanese Groundnut- contract farming project which held in Western part of Sudan
